Cyprus Turkish Airlines (CTA) sometimes referred to as “KTHY” (Kıbrıs Türk Hava Yolları), is North Cyprus’s national airlines headquartered at Ercan Airport in North Cyprus. Cyprus Turkish Airlines offers regular flights to Ercan Airport from Stansted, Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham Airports. During summer months there is a daily CTA flight to Ercan Airport from Stansted Airport. Cyprus Turkish Airlines also offers scheduled flights to North Cyprus from Turkey, along with various chartered flights from all over Europe during summer.

Are CTA flights to North Cyprus ATOL protected?

Yes indeed, if your ticket purchase is made through North Cyprus Flights website, then all your CTA flights to Ercan are ATOL protected!

When do I need to check-in for CTA flights to Ercan?

You should check in for your CTA flights, at-least 2 hours before departure, however to be more on the cautious side we recommend to give it 3 hours at the very least. CTA check-in counters will close 45 minutes prior to departure time, and if you arrive less than 45 minutes you’ll not be allowed to board on CTA flight!

What is the baggage allowance on CTA flights to Ercan?

Cyprus Turkish Airlines allows free carriage of up to 20 kg per person, with an upper limit of 32 kg per piece of luggage, of-course excess baggage charges apply. Golf gear and diving equipment up to 10 kg is allowed to be carried free of charge, however Cyprus Turkish Airlines needs to be informed in advance about it.

Regarding hand luggage allowance on CTA flights to Ercan, maximum limit is 5 kg per person and only one piece is allowed. Also do remember that standard airport security restrictions on liquids / flammables in hand luggage also apply!

Is there any kind of meal on CTA flights to Ercan?

Yes, customers traveling on all Cyprus Turkish Airlines flights to North Cyprus get a free meal or a snack depending what time the flight departs, same is true for return flights from Ercan Airport to the UK.

Is there First Class or Business class on CTA flights?

No! There is no first class or business class on CTA flights (Cyprus Turkish Airlines operates on single cabin standard), however there is Economy Plus class on CTA Flights, which has more leg space than that on the Economy Class.
